Mysterious India

Ajit Bhawan Hotel (Heritage)

Ever dreamed of travelling to India? For me, it’s a place of mystery and spirituality, of allure and fun. My Mom had the chance to travel to India when she attended a business convention few years ago. From her description of India, I could say it would be a different experience for me to travel to this vast country firsthand.

I’ve been browsing over Inasra.com, a site that offers information about hotels, lodging, bed and breakfast, accommodation and other important details about India. Site visitors can register for free and book Indian hotels online. Their site is simple in design, easy to navigate around, and there are a vast number of destinations for selection in their search section shown in the home page by default. An attractive but small flash movie, showing things to do in India, is displayed where site visitors can’t resist clicking on it to view the details.  It should be a bit bigger to lend more interest to the page. It would be nice too if some of the thumbnail photos are showcased in the home page. Anyway, these are just my observations of the site design. The search feature is very efficient though and you can filter your search based on amenities and cuisines, and sort out accommodations by price, hotel ratings, distance from airport and transport terminals. The company, though relatively young, is very passionate about their goal – to provide “shelter no matter where you are in India.”
