Where’s your next vacation stop?

July 7, 2007

Flight and hotel bookings, places to go, travel itinerary, filing for a vacation leave…these are the things you have to consider when planning for your next vacation stop, right? I don’t consider my recent trip to Thailand a vacation since it was partly due to work, though I still found the time for visiting some interesting historical ruins and of course meeting my loved ones.

Planning for a trip can be a hassle, especially if done in haste. It’s best to plan ahead and most importantly to book for flights and hotels at least a month ahead. You might get some great discounts and offers on your next destination. Most airlines and hotels release their big discounts months ahead. You can choose to book your flights, or browse over a lot of hotel accommodations, cars for hire, vacation packages and vacation rentals at HotelReservations.com.

This is an informative site with easy to use features and great hotel discounts. Flight search results can be sorted by lowest price, airline, shortest flight, departure time, arrival time and overall travel time. Hotel search options include travel period, rooms, property and landmark, and other amenities while the search results show a list of summaries of each hotel where a link leads to more photos and detailed information such as location, features, guestrooms, amenities, attractions and driving directions. Even their car online booking gives a lot of choices for car types (minivan, sport utility, convertible, etc.) and companies such as Hertz, Avis among others.

And what about their vacation packages? You can choose on the following options: type of trip (one or two destination(s)), type of vacation package (flight+hotel+car, flight+hotel, hotel+car or flight+car), travel period and number of persons who will be traveling with you. I like their Destination Guides which offers suggestions, general information and travel tips for destinations such as Africa and Middle East, Asia, Central America, Europe, USA and all over the world.
