Schulz Philosophy?
July 12, 2007Are you familiar with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Woodstock, Lucy and the rest of the Peanuts gang? Oh yes, you are! Everybody loves Snoopy, the world's famous beagle. The Peanuts comic strip creator is legendary cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. You can know more about him by visiting the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center and learn more about how his life has touched others through his well-loved Peanuts characters.
Incidentally I received an email which is actually an urban legend about the Schulz Philosophy. This email is a bit misleading making readers think Schulz authored the questions himself. The quote at the end though was really from Schulz, taken from his Peanuts strip published on June 13, 1980. Anyway, the lesson below is worth reading though.

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the message straight through, and you'll get the point.
1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

Fruits galore
I love fruits. Not only because they’re yummy but more so because they’re good for the health and very nutritious. We make sure that we always have enough supply of fruits at home since it’s been a family habit to eat fruits after every meal. Personally, it would be nice to receive some fruits as a gift than a pack of chocolates, but how about having both in a fruit basket? That would be simply great.

Cold and rainy days ahead
Yes, the weather's been cold and rainy lately just looking at dark blue graphic on my Windows Vista sidebar weather gadget. We were surprised to have some really strong winds (even making some howling noise) and heavy downpour since yesterday. We guessed it right. There is a typhoon according to PAGASA.

CBT, an alternative to classroom training
Classroom learning can be tedious sometimes especially when your location is far from the training area. Most companies either hire in-house trainers or send their staff to attend trainings and they had to take time off from work, you have to fix a good schedule to gather them and, more often than not, productivity is affected. I used to work in a telecoms firm and when our boss sends us to attend some training or seminar, I am not that happy about it, we come back to our offices with work piling up.

Skin care blahs
Oily, dry, combination/normal, sensitive or sun-damaged — which type is your skin? Mine belongs to the Oily type; I sometimes can harvest a lot of oil from my face enough to fry some fish. Hehehe… kidding aside, I notice that some parts of my face feel itchy and sensitive though. What could be the cause? Is it the sudden change of weather or could it be my diet or my staying up late? It’s just making me uncomfortable though.
