Bird watching

July 25, 2007

Whenever I’m out in the garden, it always makes me happy to hear the sweet chirping of birds in the trees. I could also hear them outside my window while I’m working in my PC. I sometimes catch them playing in the clothesline and I wish I could take a photo but they’re too fast for me. Watching and listening to these little creatures can easily make me lighthearted. Too bad, we found out some of their nests fell to the ground due to the recent typhoon.

bird feeder I browsed over some bird supplies at the Anacortes Telescope & Wild Bird website and I like the cool WoodLink Mega Tube Feeder for our feathered friends (right photo). If you’re looking for bird watching supplies, you can browse through their binoculars and bird watching equipment. They offer the popular brand  of telescopes (including Celestron, Meade and Bushnell), astronomical binoculars, eyepieces, accessories, CCD cameras and related books.

I’m sure the feeder would attract more birds in our garden. Yes, I’d like our place to have more of these flying tweeties, listening to more chirps and tweets means a happier ‘music’ in the background.  :)

A surprise call

I was busy working in front of my notebook when my cell phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number. Thinking it was some stray call, I let it rang on and on, until finally I answered it. Guess who it was? My 11-year old nephew R-vin! How sweet! He's in the country with his Dad, but in another province. After talking about the latest Harry Potter book, freezing in Finland, the small Cebu Pacific airbus, playing badminton and other blahs, we finally hung up. Arrgghh… I miss my pamangkins. And it makes me sad that the whole family (big sis, hubby and three kids) will be residing in Finland next month and will be staying there for about two years (?). I wonder when I will be seeing them again. sigh. :(

On natural skin care

Using natural and synthetic-free ingredients for beauty products especially skin care is one of my preferences whenever I go shopping for a new skin toner or facial wash. This ensures me they aren’t harsh or would interact harmfully with my skin. I browsed over the product line of Emerge Skin Care and it’s good to know that these have been formulated free from synthetic and strong chemicals and preservatives. They have a wide range of products such as cleansers, toners, anti-aging, eye care, sun care, exfoliators, and many more. For those with oily-combination skin like mine, they have the Oil-Free Sebum Control Moisturizer which regulates oiliness in the T-zone area while allowing the skin to absorb moisture quickly. Even guys can check out their Men’s Skin Care products — Deep Pore Cleanser, Balancing Lotion, Face Body Scrub and Oil Free Anti-Shine Cream. Their site guarantees your online shopping to be safe with your personal information protected using the most advanced online security system.
