UnionBank and PayPal processing takes longer than expected?

I’ve been following a lengthy yet interesting thread ‘PayPal and UnionBank EON Visa debit card’ on the Philippine eBay (www.ebay.ph) forums. You’ll get some firsthand information from eBay users who share their PayPal funds transfer experience on this topic.

As of today, one of the users successfully received her PayPal withdrawals of $500 starting October 2 which are now reflected October 16 on her UnionBank EON credit card account. Another user also received on his EON account dated October 16 the $500 (less $5 transaction fee) he withdrew from PayPal last October 5. The others though who withdrew even earlier than these two (some September 29) still haven’t received their PayPal funds on their EON accounts yet and are getting worried about the long delay.

Well, it’s a wait and see attitude for me. I still haven’t transferred funds to my UnionBank Visa e-wallet yet, since I am still waiting for my Expanded Use Number (required to be a verified PayPal member) to be available 5 days after I added my debit account to PayPal last Monday. As some of the users reasoned out, the delays could be due to the massive PayPal transactions UnionBank is receiving nowadays. Hopefully, the process will be normalized soon.
