Cable trouble

Having limited access to the Internet (which means going online at internet cafés for an hour or so) while away from home just made me realize how important it is to my work and communicating with my siblings abroad. Thus, I was so excited to immediately plug in my laptop as soon as I was back to my desk here at home. I didn’t expect that I needed to be more patient with going online since I had trouble connecting to the Internet.

After doing some troubleshooting, checking the network connections and searching for the cause, I found out that the Cat 5 cable from the DSL modem to the hub was defective. We replaced it with another one (thanks Dad!) and finally I was able to connect my laptop to the Internet. Yey!
