Sunday fun in Prague

June 16, 2008

After arriving here in Prague Saturday evening, the next day was spent attending Holy Mass at the famous church of the Infant Jesus. We were glad to have attended the Philippine Independence day celebration afterwards at the church yards. It was kicked off with a simple ceremony where the Philippine National Anthem was sung and the Czech National Anthem as well.

After the Philippine Ambassador to Czech Republic gave a short and inspiring talk, lunch was served which included some native delicacies such as bihon guisado, palitao, maja blanca and leche flan. It was a yummy way of curing homesickness for those who have been away from the Philippines for years already.

Some games were played after lunch such as the famous pabitin and pot-hitting. Mom won a beautiful Bohemian glass bowl for showing a hundred peso bill as part of the ‘Bring me’ game and answering the emcee’s question. I was just so tired from my trip the previous day so I had fun observing and taking photos from the sides.
