What day is it tomorrow? Oh well, it’s the first day of November, another month for me to plan about. Yup, time surely flies! I am hopeful for this month with regards to my weight loss plans, which means more self discipline when it comes to diet and exercise. I also plan to read up on lots of helpful articles and materials to keep me going. Feeding the mind with encouraging and motivating weight loss guides is a sure way to curb one’s appetite than feeding the body with junk and fatty foods. It’s also inspiring to read up on some blogs that chronicle the author’s weight loss journey.
For those who are determined to live healthy and fit, it’s best to read up on some useful sites such as WeightLossGuide.com where they offer expert advice on your weight loss journey as well as product reviews on the best diet pills in the market. Aside from providing information about diet pills, other topics and products featured are protein shakes, appetite suppressants, body cleansers, cellulite reduction, antidepressants and other health-related products. With all these featured items available at one’s grasp and budget, the key to a successful weight loss program is still discipline and determination and keeping one’s self focused on the weight loss goals.
Tomorrow, November 1, will be a busy day for the family as we celebrate the feast of All Saints’ Day. Early tomorrow we’ll be attending the Holy Mass, then have a quick breakfast, and afterwards head on to the cemetery to visit the graves of my grandparents and other relatives. I dunno if we can still drop by my uncle who lives in a subdivision near the cemetery. Anyway, it will still be a busy day for me since I have to finish some pending tasks before noon. I do hope I can have a nice well-deserved rest in the afternoon. After all, weekends are meant to for rest and relaxation.
For a traveler arriving in the New York metropolitan area, he has to take a JFK Airport shuttle to wherever accommodation he is being booked. Or if he would land on the other two important airports - the La Guardia, and the Newark Liberty International Airport - catering to metropolitan area of New York and suburbs, he has still to be serviced by an airport shuttle to bring him to whichever hotel or residence he is going to stay.
An airport shuttle should be reasonably priced, on time, reliable, comfortable, and safe for travel. If there are separate luggage compartments, it is better for the convenience of the traveler. Customer assistance should be 24 hours, with online reservation service which should be also 24/7, and should be in every terminal of the three above-mentioned major NYC airports servicing the New York metropolitan area.
Varied sizes of the fleet of vehicles of a ground transportation company is also an important consideration, so it can serve groups with just 5 or about 50 or more people. It means it has flexibility as to the group size being serviced. This will avoid paying more than what is necessary. Their vans should be well-upholstered for comfort, with air conditioning/heating system, and provided with two-way radios.
These are just some of the points I can give, as considerations of what should be the best shuttle company to service your group, in case you are in New York! Happy traveling!
In these modern times, people are now very much aware of life insurance, but there are so many insurance companies selling term life insurance nowadays which makes it difficult to choose the right one for our needs. If only we can be assisted by an experienced and stable company wherein we can easily compare all of these various insurance companies which sell different plans, with different services offered, and varied pricing.
By ourselves, we can ask: How to compare all these? The more it will be trouble-free for us if the staff can offer free advice and truly help us get accurate term life insurance rates and quotations, so we can get the lowest, most affordable life insurance plan. Then after all, choosing a life insurance company can be easy!
Have you seen Sleepy, one of Snow White’s seven dwarfs? Well, I could very well look like him, except that I’m a girl. *insert yawning emoticon here*
What happened last night that kept me awake until the wee hours of the dawn??? Our neighboring community had their annual fiesta and man, they had some fun-filled events lined up for the day (until early dawn)… cockfighting the whole afternoon, a beauty pageant for kids in the evening, and afterwards followed by dancing which had their huge speakers full blast until 5:30 AM.
Can you beat that??? How can you go to dreamland with the house literally shaking with the vibration caused by the bass? Hohummmm…
New York City, nicknamed as “The Big Apple”, is the most populous city of the United States, and no doubt one of the most teeming cities in the whole world. It could also be an influential and important center not only of commerce and finance, but also of culture and entertainment. No wonder it attracts tourists who travel for business and pleasure, and charter bus NYC tours are kept busy.
For traveling groups who are visiting New York City, they better find out what NYC Bus Charters can offer as this is a transportation company - not a broker, or a company that gives customers to third parties – which deals directly with the group. One consideration when choosing a charter bus company is its track record, how long they have been in the business, for if it has been giving service for over 20 years, then the customers must have been satisfied?
Other considerations are: that the company must be dependable and on time, safe and comfortable, with their services handled by professional staff. The vehicles must also be clean and well-maintained, and it’s important to compare the fares; it must have lower offers compared to others. And how about the drivers? See to it that they are well-experienced and courteous, aside from being on time.
This coming December, my siblings from other parts of the globe will be home for the holidays and this is one reunion we’ve been looking forward to with excitement. So, we’re sprucing up our house a bit such as installing new roofing for the ground floor. The house interior needs to be improved as well, but at least we have transferred the refrigerator from the old kitchen which needed to be closed for renovation.
What’s really needed to be improved more is our garden. We have lots of plants and blooms but they’re not arranged beautifully. We do need a landscape artist or designer to tidy up our garden. Another thing that would make our garden more attractive is to install outdoor lighting which would definitely give visitors a homey welcome during evenings and provide safety while walking through the garden paths. With so many activities lined up for the coming months, I pray that we will be able to push through with some of our home improvement plans just in time for the reunion.

I used to get text messages from our professional association about upcoming trade show events and displays from different construction companies. Unfortunately, I’ve been busy during these events thus I was not able to attend. Trade shows are effective means for companies to reach out to a bigger market. We used to even have our own company exhibit before, we used computers to showcase some of the software we market. It brought us new clients interested to attend our seminars and purchase our software in the process.
For those businesses that need to create a buzz for their products and services, participating in trade shows is another marketing option. Just be sure that the trade show organizers are reliable and with excellent track record. It’s sad to read stories about companies who were swindled by fake events organizers who ran away after they got the downpayment for the affair which turned out to be a sham.

The year-end holidays are almost here! I know some of you may have planned out your Christmas and New Year vacations. There are lots of choices for families to spend few days or weeks away from home. For instance, they can choose Branson in Missouri, dubbed as the “Live Music Capital of the World” with its top-notch entertainment shows and many theme parks.
Branson holiday packages for couples and families can be browsed at BransonGetaways.com. Their Family Package is a 4 days/3 nights stay at the Presidential Condo good for two adults and two kids plus tickets to some shows. Branson offers a lot of lodging and accommodation for tourists - hotels, motels, resorts and condos such as the Settle Inn, Clarion Hotel, Howard Johnson Hotel, Cabins at Grand Mountain, Presidential Condo and many more.
Upcoming events from now until December are geared up for the holidays in Branson. For December, there’s the 60th Annual Adoration Parade & Lighting Ceremony and Santa’s Workshop. For those who would love to go on a shopping spree, there’s an After-Thanksgiving Weekend Sale at the Branson Outlet Malls on Novermber 28-30. Aside from these events, tourists can check out the museums, rides and thrills, golf courses and entertainment centers to make the most of their stay in Branson.
That’s me! My cell phone is a Nokia 2610 which I bought December 2006 in Thailand. It may not be a high-end phone, but it is fine with me since I’m just contented with its basic features for calling and sending SMS, and it’s still working OK until now. Sometimes it would just give me a white screen when I start it up or when the message inbox is full, but these errors occur rarely so I still am satisfied with my phone for now.
At times I would drool over the latest cell phone models especially those Sony Ericsson camera-phone-mp3-player cuties but then I’d pinch myself (not literally huh) back to reality and remind myself that I have other better things to dream about (like another trip to Europe perhaps?).
Even if my phone is not the high-end model, I still make full use of it – I even use it as my daily alarm clock and reminder. I prefer few minutes of mobile phone calls during urgent situations than sending SMS which sometimes arrives to its recipient hours after. I’m using a prepaid account so I make sure that each peso of load/credit is put to good use. Thus don’t expect me to send you forwarded ready-made messages. I prefer to save my credits for much better use such as urgent phone calls or important messages.
I’ve read one comment of a satisfied customer about America’s #1 diet pill, Hydroxycut Hardcore and it was a positive one, saying that she lost ten pounds in two weeks using this diet pill along with a reduced calorie diet but with no exercise involved. Hmmm… I still am hesitant about diet pills despite seeing some ‘before and after’ photos of those who used them.
Those who would want to give diet pills a try should do a bit of research first. Read up on some Orovo, Nuphedragen or Hydroxycut hardcore review and other information on diet pills before deciding which to use. It’s also good to talk it out with your doctor first and ask some recommendations from friends or other diet pill users.
Switchfoot fans now have something to look forward to for the coming holidays. Finally, a compilation of their best songs in their first ever greatest hits CD collection featuring their all-time hits such as “Dare You To Move”, “Meant To Live”, and “This Is Your Life” plus a newly released song “This is Home”. A Deluxe Edition is even better with a DVD of 14 music videos (“Stars”, “Dare You To Move”, and more) and band commentary.
For die-hard Switchfoot fans, the Holiday Package includes even more – the Deluxe CD/DVD Edition plus new poster, T-shirt, Christmas card, unreleased Switchfoot B-side “We Are Bound” and unreleased Jon Foreman Solo song (Live from Hotel Cafe). Now these goodies would definitely excite Switchfoot fans and give them more ways to enjoy the band’s music other than endlessly listening to all their albums on those mp3 players. More details of the Holiday package can be read from their official website (www.switchfoot.com).
Technology and automation is definitely creeping into our lives nowadays. Wasn’t it just few years ago when mobile phones were only limited to calling and sending SMS, now it has developed into a gadget of sorts – digital camera, mp3 player, web browser, organizer and so much more. And what about our laptops which have now become loaded with many high-tech features as well.
Another nifty gadget that’s steadily gaining popularity among us is the GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver which uses the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) via earth orbit satellites “that transmit precise microwave signals, that enable GPS receivers to determine their current location, the time, and their velocity (including direction).” (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPS)
As an example, my bro-in-law’s GPS receiver guided us on our way from Pori to Rauma in Western Finland. The gadget is loaded with lots of features which I am not really familiar about. All I know was that it is a visual and audio road guide. It has a touch-sensitive interactive map which displays your current location (indicated by a car icon) and the next road direction. The default audio guide is a calm and reassuring female voice that somehow lessens your nervousness should you make the wrong turn. Although there are now various GPS voice recordings for audio guides from scary to funny – Darth Vader, Bart Simpson and other famous personalities.
Like all automated devices, the GPS receiver has its bugs as well. It is still the driver who needs to be fully attentive to where he’s headed and consider some unexpected road turns or discrepancies in the audio guide. To make full use of your GPS receiver, it’s best to be familiar with its many features. Preparing for a journey is best done by inputting on the GPS receiver the street numbers or points of interest before the trip instead of doing it while on the road. While technology makes our lives much easier, ultimately how we use it to our advantage still matters the most.
What’s your favorite casual attire? Mine would be t-shirts and jeans (or capris). I love the cool comfort of wearing tees, especially if they’re made of 100% cotton. T-shirts are popular not just among teens but it’s everybody’s casual choice these days.
One use of t-shirts is to convey a message, to express one’s individuality or to make a statement. Some have Bible verses, some are admonitions, reminders, be it in sports or one’s diet or about one’s lifestyle and beliefs. Some are just plain funny t-shirts to brighten your day.
Recently I saw a shirt which read “Fatness First” instead of “Fitness First”. LOL. It reminded me of my siblings who are loyal fans and members of Fitness First. I bet a diet-conscious person wouldn’t definitely wear a shirt like that!
There is no doubt that opportunities abound in the Internet especially for those who have knowledge with computers, particularly on software applications. Most those who are taking up information technology related courses are the ones benefited with these.
However for those who are interested enough, the basics are learned with doing some studying and research. It also helps to have connections with knowledgeable people who are willing to teach and share whatever talent they have, thus anyone can make a go of it.
Business-minded people who have already learned the basics of IT and the Internet most often go to online trading to reach a wider market. Usually they seek mentors for that and once they have undergone the “birth pains”, off they soar to success.
Man’s quest for creativity never stops indeed, even when it involves creepy objects (well for me they are!) like these bones…
I wonder how the artist creating these magnificent chandeliers and the other intricate church decors felt while holding the bones, designing and making them into a piece of art? If you were the artist, how would you feel?
The above photos were taken at the “Bone Church” at Kutna Hora in Czech Republic. Read more about the church here.
Heroes Season 3 is here! The plot gets more complicated and new characters are introduced in this season. The future Peter Petrelli is very much different with his scar and the fact that he’s considered as one of the bad guys, as well as future Claire Bennet who’s not anymore sporting the sweet schoolgirl image as she did in the previous seasons.
Then there’s a new character (but not new image) Tracy Strauss who’s still being acted out by Ali Larter who portrayed Nikki Sanders, the lady with a split personality from Las Vegas who died in a fire in Season 2. Sorry, I’m just babbling hereeee…I really wish somebody could have healed Nikki so she would still be alive in Season 3, but then again the Heroes writers had other ideas. Ali Larter is still there, but portraying Tracy and not Nikki. So is it really the end for Nikki then? I still am hoping she would be part of the good guys for Season 3. I kinda miss her character as Micah’s mom.
I’ve been sleeping past midnight lately… and I am not happy about it. I don’t have anybody else to account for that but myself. Though lots of tasks and sleeping late can cause stress to the body, thankfully I’ve got no signs of acne as what most people usually warn you about not having enough rest.
Oh well… I still have not fully recovered from my long vacation. Leaving some tasks for a long time does affect work. I’m about 80% to going back to my usual schedule. Nevertheless, weekend is here again… but I may opt to work more. After all, I did have many fun days away from my pending tasks, yeah?
Have a great weekend ahead!

These are no ordinary days for me…well they may appear ordinary to others since I’m just here at home and not off for a vacation elsewhere, but I am actually up to something and it’s keeping me busy. Aside from that we have an upcoming big event next week which means more busy days ahead. Sigh. Just thinking about it makes me want to lounge on one of those relaxing pool floats while thinking of sunny days ahead.
When was the last time you read a book? Me, I just finished reading Coelho’s The Zahir about three weeks ago. I used to read mostly non-fiction books particularly those in the business and self-development categories.
I love reading books but unfortunately I haven’t been able to integrate this with my recent activities. Sigh… reading has become a luxury for me since I am always catching up on my daily tasks.
Thus, the idea of audio books, listening to a book instead of reading a book, gives me hope. It means I can do multitasking - listen to a book while doing something else, such as tidying up my room or arranging my closet. Anyway, I found some downloadable audio books at Audible.com organized into business, education, fiction, romance, self-development and other categories. Hmmm… I wonder how a food audio book would sound like when played.
I had a nice dream yesterday. I dreamed I was driving a car. Yey! At least I get to drive in my dreams. hehehe… I used to have driving lessons before but for some reason it did not continue. Nowadays, it’s dad driving us wherever we want to go. Hmmm… he doesn’t approve of me driving our van since he thinks I would have difficulties driving it. “Better drive a car,” was his advice. Anyway, I am not in a haste to learn how to drive, maybe I’d start reading some of the basics of how a car functions and maybe read something about internal combustion, engine parts, transmission fluid, replacing a power steering rack and anything that’s related to cars.
