Here are the performances of Susan Boyle and the dance troupe Diversity during the “Britain’s Got Talent” finals.

Diversity wowed not just the audience but also the judges during the finals. “It was sheer and utter perfection when you just did that!” remarked judge Simon Cowell after the dance troupe’s performance. The cheering crowd was so enthusiastic about their choreography and break dancing antics.
Well, after all the votes were cast in, Diversity came out as the winner and Susan Boyle placed in second.
No problem Ms. Boyle, you already gained a huge number of fans not just in Britain but worldwide, considering the millions of hits your YouTube videos got. I bet your recordings will pretty soon be hitting the charts, music stores, and even those free online auctions sites. And yes, your fans are eagerly waiting for your first album.
Getting huge profits and having a winning brand, these are usually the goals of every business owner or company CEOs. It’s just natural to strive and reach for the stars and be successful, yes? But some companies are irresponsible as well and think only of gaining profits while totally forgetting about their employees’ welfare.
Take the case of companies that used to work with the deadly asbestos which is now banned. They already knew the hazards of asbestos exposure and yet some claim not to know about its dangers to their workers handling this cancer-causing substance. The sad fact about asbestos cancer also known as mesothelioma is that half the patients exhibit no symptoms and the early symptoms are just flu-like such as cough, fever or fatigue.

I’ve just accepted an upcoming home design project. This meant lesser time spent for my online ventures, though I hope I can still keep up with both. There might be some difficulties adjusting to another busy schedule but I welcome this as a way for me to be open to new opportunities.
For one thing, I would be meeting my old friends and school mates in Manila again, visit some tourist attractions, have my laptop serviced among others. I can foresee myself as one busy bee again, visiting DIY hardware shops and home depots for the furnishings. With all the running around I’m sure I won’t need any appetite suppressants to make me lose some weight.
I’m scheduled for another Manila trip! And I’m actually having mixed feelings about it. But one thing’s for sure that would make me happy about this trip… I would finally have my HP Pavilion dv2518 laptop serviced! Yey! I’m so pleased about this as they don’t have an authorized service center here where I live and I’ve been wanting for so long to have it checked. Why so? It heats up a lot! I suspect it might have accumulated a LOT of dust inside.
I don’t have any problems so far with my laptop’s processor and RAM, so I am not considering computer memory upgrades and the like. What I’m more concerned about is its overheating. So, HP service center, here comes my laptop!
As part of an interior design project for a condo, I spent a lot of time looking for the right furnishings - from carpets, curtains, throw pillow covers to dining utensils and other kitchen essentials to match the overall design theme. Aside from specifying the design for the cabinets and other furniture, the décors had to be chosen carefully. The condo has a contemporary look to it, and we bought some native décors as accent for some of the furniture.

Most travelers would bring with them souvenirs from their trips and highlight them as décors in prominent areas of their home. For instance, my mom bought some small porcelain glasses and other handicrafts during our Europe trip, and now they are proudly displayed in a glass cabinet in the living room. She wouldn’t miss buying something wherever we went, even some shell collection when we were at a grocery in Finland. Now they are displayed on top of the refrigerator. These souvenirs, though trivial for some, make her happy as they remind her of her travels. I remember I bought some handicrafts during my trip to Thailand to smarten my room as well.

After doing some accounting this morning, I just felt so drained especially after seeing the flow of our present income and upcoming expenses. Anyway, I just console myself with the fact that I am practicing analyzing our small finances today in preparation for bigger funds to come in the near future. LOL. Nowadays, I engage myself in some business ventures. Even though they didn’t require huge investments, I consider it as a good start.
As most successful businessmen would recommend, it is best to engage in Multiple Sources of Income or MSI. This is very much needed especially in these trying times. Relying on just one source of income is risky. For instance, an employee without any sideline income could be left with an uncertain future should something happen to his job or employer. One way to have a sideline income is engaging in real estate investments. I know somebody who invested in a condo property and is now reaping the fruits of his investment as his unit is being rented out at a very good rate.

Babies are cute little angels that make your day brighter and they deserve lots of rest. This is why parents make everything comfortable for their babies during bed time, so they wake up happy and refreshed, ready and active for another bright day ahead. Aside from giving them cool and clean surroundings, it’s also important that their beddings are comfortable and preferably made of 100% high quality cotton to avoid irritating baby’s skin.

“A book must be an ice-axe to break the seas frozen inside our soul.” Franz Kafka
How can we not be busy these days? There are a multitude of tasks waiting for us to tackle, competing for our attention and oftentimes we end up confused about which to prioritize. Thus, it’s not a surprise that most of us are finding ways to be in contact with what really matters most in our lives. We take vacations or visit a friend, go for a walk or play a bit, and engage in other activities to give us that much needed break. Another diversion that’s very much good for the soul is reading books, and this is what I’ve been meaning to include in my daily schedule.

Motorcycle drivers put themselves at greater risk than those driving other vehicle types. The reason is pretty obvious as their bodies are very much exposed and unprotected even if they wear helmets. Add to that are some irresponsible drivers who can really make these motorcycle drivers’ lives in danger.
One late evening, two drivers having fun with racing on a highway hit three vehicles and a motorcycle. It was such a tragic accident that cost the life of the motorcycle driver as he was thrown off. The other car drivers were injured. It was such a sad day for the families of the aggrieved parties especially the motorcycle driver.

Managing the family’s finances can be tough. There are times when you have to say no to unplanned purchases and stick to your budget which can be really challenging. Other times, I had to resort to juggling of funds to keep up with the bills.
I also try to find ways to save and here are some that I can really count on:
Isn’t it heartwarming to receive greetings, invitations and messages the old-fashioned way via “snail mail” or postal mail?
Not that I don’t appreciate online greeting cards but the practice of sending greetings via regular mail is just not ordinary nowadays. One time I got a personalized Christmas card from a friend in the US with the front cover featuring the art work of her hubby. Even if it arrived late, it was special in the sense that she took more effort in sending the card via post office.
When looking for a greeting card to buy, I would usually get confused with all the choices, thus I would end up spending more time at the bookstore. There are just sooo many designs and messages for just about any occasion, even those simple greetings that help build any type of relationship – between friends, lovers, officemates, classmates or family members. It’s also good that most greeting card companies are now putting emphasis on helping the environment and using recycled paper.
Even with electronic mails and online animated greetings, the tangible essence of paper greeting cards still make a difference.

One way of getting good service is by having an overview of what you will be getting such as getting free quotes or estimates for your specific needs. As an example, when we were planning to have our house roofing changed to a new one, a supplier came over and had a look upstairs, getting the dimensions for the roofing area to be replaced. Afterwards, we were given a quote for the cost of new roofing including labor and other expenses. This was also the same with getting a quote for pest control. The company staff came over and assessed our house before explaining to us what needed to be done.
