Utilizing technological advancement on medical records

June 15, 2009

US President Barack Obama plans to improve America’s quality of health care with his push to computerize all medical records. According to him, “This will cut waste, eliminate red tape and reduce the need to repeat expensive medical tests. But it just won’t save billions of dollars and thousands of jobs; it will save lives by reducing the deadly but preventable medical errors that pervade our health care system.” This move is very much supported by the experts as a system to minimize medical mistakes, although the implementation cost may be high.

Technological advancement should be fully utilized to help in whatever areas of our lives, especially health matters, such as President Obama’s move for computerized medical records. The Internet is opening up more opportunities for online medical and health-related transactions as well, such as instant life insurance online quotes, online medical consultation with experts or interactive medical information videos and presentations.
