Magnesium for stress management

August 17, 2009

Whew! Finally we’re here in Manila and ready to set up not just one but two condo units. Does that make me an over-stressed person? You bet. That’s why I’m thinking of including Magnesium in my daily supplement needs aside from Calcium and Vitamin C. Why so? Magnesium is an essential nutrient in managing stress. And although it is not a weight loss supplement it also helps fight obesity. I’ve also read from a medical article that it could lessen menstrual cramps. Magnesium can be derived from foods like nuts, but it is best to get more Magnesium from supplements such as Magnesium Citrate. A daily dosage of 300-900 mg can be taken depending on one’s lifestyle and physical needs.
