Keeping things organized
September 21, 2009How do you keep things in the right place and how do you manage the clutter at home? My cousin is such an organized guy that he would color-code the hangers in his closets for his different clothes. Hmmm…actually I am fond of organizing things in my bedroom as well. I try to keep my stuff as well-arranged as possible for easy access and space-saving reasons. But I haven’t thought about color-coding the hangers and I think it’s a pretty cool idea.
Now that I’m staying in my sister’s condo temporarily, I still try to keep things neat and in place. And since I don’t have shelves and closets to keep them, I try to use whatever resources are available – unused souvenir boxes are used as storage for office supplies (such as my pens, stapler, box cutter, etc.) while the TV box and the cartons for some appliances are made into a desk or a table. I am not fond of keeping unused items and storing them, but as my Mom says, you might use them in the future so better keep them just in case.
For those who work at home, keeping your files organized saves you a lot of possible headache, so better make individual folders for your home insurance, electricity bill or travel papers. For instance, I have different folders organized and labeled for our different bills, family documents and bank accounts. It really saves me a lot of time since I can easily scan through them whenever I need some files.
