So tired, but happy! ^_^
April 30, 2010Whew what a tiring day it has been. I think it’s the hot weather that made me weak and exhausted. I had to take a short nap in the van after dropping off mom for her late afternoon meeting. Dad and I went to the mall supposedly to shop for grocery items but I told him I want to rest a bit in the parking area as I was yawning a lot that time. Well, I guess it’s really true that the sun’s heat can drain the energy out of even the most energetic person.

Reunion with the guitar
April 24, 2010Wow I can’t believe it, I finally did something I should have done long long time ago. I’m not sure if it’s been more or less than a decade since I last played the guitar, but after listening to Brooke Fraser’s You’ll Come (it’s one of the songs included in Hillsong United’s With Hearts As One and Hillsong’s This Is Our God albums), I can’t help but search for the lyrics and chords, and ended up looking for my guitar as well. So, off I went to the small room upstairs, took one of the guitars, wiped off the dust, and played until my fingers hurt.

What a shame!
April 15, 2010Yesterday at a mall restroom I overheard the sales ladies talking about another shoplifter caught in the act. Uh-oh. The culprit thought he (or she) could get away with it, hiding some grocery items without going through the barcode scanner. I dunno what the stolen items were but one thing’s for sure, it was such a shameful act and I bet the shoplifter didn’t have any face to show to the public after being caught.
Back from Dumaguete
Finally we’re home from our Dumaguete trip and yes… lots of unfinished tasks to tackle again. I can’t say it was a relaxing trip as we were busy touring around the city, trying to visit as many tourist attractions as we can. The only time we had some relaxing moments was when we sat by one of the benches at Rizal Boulevard on Tuesday evening after we had a sumptuous dinner and I almost fell asleep while listening to the waves crashing by the seawall. But it was only for few minutes as I had to get up and take some photos of the scene around.

I’m doing online research on music videos and digicams, what about you?
April 10, 2010
While others may be doing a lot of job search on the net these days, after the month of March where lots of new graduates are seeking career opportunities, I’m currently browsing over, whew, guess what, Hillsong United! Yup I can’t help from searching for their latest live recordings on YouTube especially their song Tear Down The Walls which I really really like.
Aside from that, I’m also doing an online research on the ultimate Canon compact camera for me, something that’s in between a DSLR and a point-and-shoot cam. I want manual focus and higher zoom capabilities. I’m having 3 options, the Canon SX20 IS (my first choice) at Php29950, the Canon SX120 IS at Php18950 and the Canon SX200 IS at Php22950. Budget and availability of the model will be the deciding factor…but with the upcoming Dumaguete trip, I really pray I could get one today.
Are you addicted to Facebook games?
April 9, 2010
I recently joined Facebook and still hesitant to engage in its offering of various games and applications. I’m just curious though when the statuses of my friends would show up their game levels and their activities on Farmville, Fishville, Petville, Café World, Treasure Isle, Farm Town, Zoo World, Pet Society, Castle Age, and many other games.

Keeping your face young and healthy
One time, my little niece played with her mommy’s moisturizer. She was smiling mischievously, her face smeared with the white face cream as captured on photo by my sis and posted on Facebook. I bet she enjoyed it, not knowing of course what the cream was for. I wonder what she would be doing to her face when the right time comes for her to be responsible for it.
Few weeks ago, I tried to maintain a tedious beauty routine of applying toner and various facial creams to clean and moisturize my face. But when my schedule became too busy, I really couldn’t maintain it as I used to. So these days, it’s just facial toner before going to sleep and washing my face with beauty soap during the day.

Dumaguete trip
Aside from catching up on tasks, I’m also sneaking in few minutes doing research on the “City of Gentle People”, Dumaguete, the capital city of Negros Oriental located in the southeast of Negros. Our community has an upcoming prayer rally there and we are set to go there with Dad driving the van for about 5 hours travel time. God-willing, we plan to have a two day tour of the city after the event to maximize our trip going there. I’m still reading up on Dumaguete travel guides to have an idea of must-see tourist attractions, where to dine and things to do.

CCM while working: I heart Hillsong United
I can’t imagine how much great music I have missed all this time. You see I haven’t been keeping myself updated with my favorite artists as I used to in the past. It’s only been few months ago that I reunited myself to contemporary Christian music aka CCM, catching up on the years that I haven’t been listening to the latest songs, music news and album reviews. I am so happy and blessed that I can now watch the videos of Hillsong United on YouTube while searching for the lyrics of their songs.
I realize that playing their music in the background while I’m working help ease the stress and inspire me to do my best. There was even one evening when I stayed until dawn watching their live power-packed worship recording of “This is our God”. Thankfully, I didn’t have any dark circles below my eyes the next day. It’s just that I miss Hillsong so much since I haven’t been listening to them for a long long time. They’re really developing their music style these days and even spearheading “THE I HEART REVOLUTION”, a global community of people that “exists to help people HELP MORE PEOPLE”. Okay, excuse me as I continue with my work… with Hillsong United in the background of course.
Longing for free time
We’re home sweet home again and pondering about the busyness of our schedule, I couldn’t do anything but just heave a sigh. We were packing up at the last minute and leaving some things unfinished. I can compare how my life has been so relaxed in the past. While I was also catching up on tasks, I was not as busy as I’ve been these days. It’s just that so many things are coming up, one after another. I haven’t even been reading quality books or indulging in free time for myself as I used to.

If the problem is your face
Due to dust and pollution, the acne cases of some, especially the teenagers, are getting worse. I’m sure they are doing their best to treat this, resorting to many options. Ugh. I can still remember when I was in high school that I also had acne problems and they really made me anxious about my appearance as the zits can easily be distinguished on my face. I’m just thankful that they just disappeared when I was in college.

Yehey!
April 1, 2010I’m looking forward to seeing my handsome baby nephew and beautiful little niece from Europe soon! God-willing, my sis and her two cute children will be here for a vacation few months from now. Weeee… am I too excited huh? Well, who wouldn’t, after always seeing their cute pics and videos on Facebook, Picasa and YouTube!
Even when my sis was still preggy, we were already looking forward to seeing and hugging baby A. When she was already out of the hospital and after the birth announcements have been done, I’ve been praying for them to come and visit us here soon so I can also play with baby A and of course little C. I know Dad and Mom, the very proud grandparents are excited to be with them again too.
April Fools joke from the bank?
Ugh, I just had a stressful morning.
We learned from Dad, that he was not able to successfully withdraw from the ATM. No cash came out! And when he did a balance inquiry, the screen showed that it was already withdrawn. Ugh again.
Anyway, I told him not to worry as we find ways to send him some cash. I also told him to call the bank’s customer care to report the incident. I know my Dad dislikes dealing with banks, he even told me he’s in a bad mood because of what happened. I was already grumpy inside, letting out a thousand sighs when I noticed that the bank slip details he gave me was kinda weird especially the balance, it was 911.
