Dumaguete trip

April 9, 2010

Aside from catching up on tasks, I’m also sneaking in few minutes doing research on the “City of Gentle People”, Dumaguete, the capital city of Negros Oriental located in the southeast of Negros. Our community has an upcoming prayer rally there and we are set to go there with Dad driving the van for about 5 hours travel time. God-willing, we plan to have a two day tour of the city after the event to maximize our trip going there. I’m still reading up on Dumaguete travel guides to have an idea of must-see tourist attractions, where to dine and things to do.

Thank God, my Dad, who’s already past 70 years old, is still active and healthy to drive all the way to Dumaguete. We even told him to hire a driver but he declined. Mom also assured me that he is fit enough for the trip. Thank God, he just had a medical checkup and doesn’t need the best joint supplements or is required to maintain any medicines, except that he has to watch his diet as his sugar level has gone up. We haven’t been to Dumaguete on a tour yet. It will be my first time to go there, so I’m looking forward to that and yes, I’m a bit excited. ;)
