Back from Dumaguete
April 15, 2010
Finally we’re home from our Dumaguete trip and yes… lots of unfinished tasks to tackle again. I can’t say it was a relaxing trip as we were busy touring around the city, trying to visit as many tourist attractions as we can. The only time we had some relaxing moments was when we sat by one of the benches at Rizal Boulevard on Tuesday evening after we had a sumptuous dinner and I almost fell asleep while listening to the waves crashing by the seawall. But it was only for few minutes as I had to get up and take some photos of the scene around.
I’m glad our van was in good condition, and so was our driver, Dad. The five-hour drive from Bacolod to Dumaguete via Mabinay route which passed by long and winding roads in the mountains was a challenging one. Thank God, Dad is still healthy and active to be driving around unlike his peers and high school classmates who needed special nurses to accompany them or finger pulse oximeters and other health gadgets to constantly monitor their medical condition while on the go. All he needed was just a good afternoon rest on the day of our arrival.
