A happy and successful life
December 12, 2011My dream job used to be so clear when I was a kid, to be an architect. But as I grew up, there were many options that came up, and my big sis suggested I took up electronics engineering instead. The reason? According to her, architecture students sleep late working on their design plates, so it would be such a difficult course for me to handle. Well, after many years in college, here I am with both courses tucked in my arm. LOL. I guess if one cannot have one or the other, then it’s best to have them both!
Presently I work at home managing my websites and I can’t say that I am utilizing both my studied courses though. But the academic backgrounds from both disciplines have provided me with a solid knowledge on my chosen career and I love what I am doing despite the distractions and challenges. If one truly enjoys his job, it doesn’t matter whether he’s an architect or a dentist, working for a hotel or being employed in one of those chart assembler jobs. Just weigh the pros and cons, it doesn’t necessarily mean that one is living a successful and balanced life when he drives around in a brand new SUV or owns the latest gadget. Living the simple life without stress, being in good relationship with family and friends, being physically fit and healthy, and loving your job, this is what defines a happy and fulfilled life.
